Research grants

IBMS Research Grants are awarded annually to members to support their original investigations and other suitable research work. 

The grants awarded are usually between £500 and £5,000.

For IBMS members overseas, a single grant of up to £2,500 may be awarded annually to IBMS members employed outside the United Kingdom or the Republic of Ireland to support their original investigations and other suitable research work.

How to Apply 

IBMS research grants are open to current IBMS members only.

To apply for either a UK and Republic of Ireland or overseas research grant, you must indicate which type of grant you are applying for on your application form.

Before completing the form please read the conditions attached to the application form.

Deadline for applications is 31 March in the year of application- you will be notified of the outcome of your application in August.
